Wilderness Trekking in the Gurung village

Located in the central Nepal, this trek offers an ideal setting for people who wish to find out what trekking is all about. Its excellent location at the foot of Annapurna Mountain range and the easy access to it by air or road make it one of the most popular for people who do not have much time to go on a long trek. The area of Ghorepani near the Annapunna massif has a multitude of attractions to offer, and parts of it are particularly beautiful, such as the forest between Ghorepani and Ghandrung, emly recommended in spring when the rhodendrons are in full bloom. The Poon Hill viewing point (3,100m) with its splendid panoramyic view of the entire Annapurna mountain range, is the highpoint of this trek. From here you will see summits such as Dhaulagiri, Tukuche, Nilgiris, Annapurna I, Annapurna South and Machhapuchre. Altogether with the experiences the route provides through day-to-day contact with the different races that inhabit this area, especially the Gurung people.
