Wilderness Trekking discovering the other Sherpas
In brief, this seven days trek will give us the chance to know about the region of Helambu, the third natural settlement of the Sherpa population after the regions of Solu Khumbu and Rolwaling. As we follow this itinerary, we will have the chance to follow a circular tour which, from the small village of Sundarijal which is situated a short distance from Kathamndu, will take us gradually to the north. There we will find the Sherpa villages of Melamchigaun, Shermathang and Tarkeghyang, the capital of the regional. The trekking tour will allow us to compare the differences between the Sherpas of Khumbu and those of Helambu. The trek will finish in Melamchi Bazar, a town where we will be collected by our support vehicle to return to Kathmandu. Taking advantage of this road, we shall spend a night in Dhulikhel, a town from where one can see the Himalayan mountain range. After looking at the sunrise and having a good breakfast, we shall go back to the capital of the country.
