Trekking in the Himalaya’s Heart

This region, which is north of Kathmandu, offers a great many possibilities for going trekking without any need of a plane. The Langtang valley is just south of the Tibetan frontier. It is sandwiched between the principal mountain range of the Himalayas (north, and series of peaks such as the Langtang Lirung (7,246m), the Gang Chenpo (6,388m), all of which are at the south, besides the Dorje Lakpa (6,975m), which is at the oriental entrance of the valley. Due to its characteristics and interest, this region was named national Park in 1971. It is a high region and principally inhabited by Tamangs. A trekking tour to the Langtang gives on the chance to get to know towns, Climb Mountains and visit glaciers, thought always at a height within anyone’s reach. We shall also see the sacred lakes of Gosainkunda (4,300m), which have been visited by thousands of Buddhist and Hindu pilgrims. In sum, this trekking tour is both easy and interesting.
